"I can't stop loving you."

Guess who I saw in Kansas? Guess who? That's right, little Miss Violet. And, the title of this post....well, that's the phrase I heard over and over this weekend.
Along with some other ones that just made my heart melt....but all in all we had a great time.

My mom and I traveled to Wichita to spend Memorial Day weekend with her. She actually stayed with us in the hotel for two nights and spend all the time with us. We went to her church on Sunday morning and evening, and I've had enough church to last me a whole month. They go to a Pentecostal church, of which I've never been to before, but it was an experience in and of itself.

We swam a lot, and we had a great time. She loved jumping on the bed...I'll do a post of just her jumping...they aren't the best quality images, but it tells you how much fun she is and how much fun we had!

In the above pictures, we played with the timer to get some shots of us together...it was fun. And, I had forgotten how much fun she had being in pictures...needless to say, I got a lot of good practice.

We took her to Chuck E Cheese the morning before we left.. (Monday)....and she won some cool prizes, blue clips with braids for her hair and this lovely mask you see above too!

And, she had fun at the pool, talking on the phone. She was a happy kid. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend!

She reminded me of lots of things...and one was really cool. She reminded me that "you know that one time, Emmy, that one time I squeezed you so hard....I just had a feeling...and I didn't want to let you go!"

So, she's adjusting well, and her new family are trying their hardest to make things wonderful for her. It was really hard leaving, and I just hope I'm always doing the right thing. The right thing for her, not for me. Hoping and praying for her to adjust and have a wonderful, safe, and fun filled life.

And, she grew like three inches too...and her hair is growing out also....a beautiful girl!

my little monkey..

This is a set of images of her enjoying being a monkey...jumping on the bed. She picked this dress out for Sunday, and I'm glad she did...it was one of the first dresses I bought when I was planning on being a foster mom. I was hoping I would get the chance to use it...and I think she looks so sweet and innocent in it. Perfect for her.

She was jumping on the bed after swimming on Sunday afternoon....and she was chewing blue gum too!

Little Miss Canonball herself....

She always jumps in to life full of laughter...

Fun times in the pool!

More fun times.....

She loved the pool...and I don't think she had been swimming since she was here.

arizona sunshine...

I went to Arizona to visit a dear friend of mine....to see her little girl have her 1st Birthday Party and to be baptized....and I had a great time. Ashley and Chris just moved to Phoenix this past January and have adjusted nicely to it. Ashley is in heaven with the heat, and I, on the other hand, complained at how hot it was. For the record it was 110 degrees on Monday when I flew home...and then 92 in Tulsa seemed nice. However, there is humidity here and there is absolutely no humidity in Arizona.

Anyhow, we had a great time. We went to Lookout Mountain to see the city from up above, had Sprinkles cupcakes, went to a few malls, saw Old Scottsdale, and had a great time. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the weekend....and I'll try to put the sunset up there soon too.

Lovin' the cupcakes....

The pretty cactus flower in bloom....

And a profile shot of Emma that I loved...

And here she is exploring the flowers on the ground...I love this one for some reason...
