Toys in Babeland

I recently had the chance to travel to Omaha for a baby shower for my friend Ashley and her husband Chris. I didn't expect to go, but I decided to at the last minute and I enjoyed every minute of my trip. I have a lot of fun stories and random pieces of information, but I'll try to break it up into a few different posts. See, I have to add pictures too. It was wonderful! I had a great time and I think everyone did as well. I'm excited for Ashley and I can't wait for Baby Girl to arrive. I'm fairly certain they are choosing Emma Claire as the name, which will be adorable.

I took the day off from work on Friday. It was a nice warm week in Oklahoma until Thursday when a cold snap came through. We went from about 80 degrees to about 35 degrees by the time I flew out of Tulsa. It was even snowing a little here, but primarily flurries. I flew out about noon and arrived in Omaha about 6ish. Not too bad. Especially for a layover in Denver as well.

**Tulsa to Denver: I had the great time of sitting among a group of Oklahoma State University Air Force ROTC members on their way to a convention in Salt Lake City. We shared a few cool OSU facts, random information about ourselves, and I enjoyed reminiscing over Stillwater. I loved that town. They were good guys and we fit well in the seats together. (I even had the window seat)

It was snowing and sleeting when I arrived in Denver, so we had to be de-iced before taking off from Denver...

Also, the strangest thing...in Nebraska they farm in circles..I've always seen squares...but they do circles..Can you see them in the picture? It was cool from up high in the sky!

** Denver to Omaha: I had the ability to be in the very, very, very last seat on the right of the aircraft (next to the lavatory). After the guy sat next to me, he remarked to his buddy up ahead "Hey, Shane, I think John should sit back here, it's next to the bathroom." I proceeded to follow that with "Why would he need to sit back here?" and I was given this response, "See, he puked three times on the first flight today, so he should be by the bathroom." My jaw dropped and I laughed a little, without hesitating to say "I don't think it would be a good idea for him to be back here, because if he pukes, I puke, and I think it might turn in to a ripple effect, not a good idea." We laughed and went on our way. John stayed up front. However, little did I know that John was tall, dark hair, blue eyes, and a handsome man at that. I TOTALLY should have used that seat for him. Ha. It was funny. The other funny thing on this flight was the AMOUNT of children on the plane. Literally, I think there were about 15-20 kids on the plane. It was crazy, it was like we were on our way to BabyLand. Maybe Easter had something to do with it!

I landed in Omaha and boy was it COLD!!!!!!
